RESUME

Schopenhauer said: "Despite the reason, despite the absurdity of existence, a force urges us to live, is the will." The force that drives us to live is fueled by passion, it is which constitutes us. My passion, my adrenaline, my obsession is to become a costume designer.

 A PASSION, A VOCATION :

I remember the day that changed my life. When I was a child, my grandmother was accustomed to taking me to the station after school, to watch people. We sat on a bench and spent hours inventing lives for passerbys. It was my favorite game. My grandmother told me that through the clothes we could guess everything about somebody. That's how I started to draw. Growing up, I kept this habit (always a sketchbook with me) to sit down and draw what people wear, imagining their lives and personalities. I remember one day being attracted by a book in the kiosk of the station, and felt my heart beats. This book was about costumes created by the most famous designer. I still keep this book preciously because it has made me what I am today, inveterate passionate for costumes.

Since this day I never stopped researching about costume design, reinforcing my love for this job. I discovered that costumes are a form of communication that can be understood by all, regardless of differences without speaking the same language. I still admire that a simple costume can cause you to dream, make you travel, transport you to another world by the power of the visual language, and transcribe all the psychology of the character. What I prefer now is to be able to create, and during the time of a show give people the illusion that the world of dreams exists. I love everything from the analysis of the character, drawing, to the design and realization. I literally found the love of my life. You know the feeling, the butterflies that fill and flutter in your stomach because you are so happy, that’s what I feel every time I am thinking about being costume designer. It always has been a guarantee of happiness for me.
